Shot no.4 (GoPro Silver 4)

Photo taken at salt mine of Pedra Lume, Sal Island, Cape Verde in October 2016.
Still Africa! On this day I went to visit the salt mine of Pedra Lume located in a volcano's low crater. There is a salty lake where you can swim and float like the Dead Sea and you can't drown even if you wanted to! Because it's a volcano, when you get into the water, if you touch the ground with your feet, you feel how hot it is and at some point you can't bear the heat. Water is warm but within a comfortable temperature. Salt is still extracted from the mine but in very small quantities, now a days its more of a touristic point of interest.

Photo taken in Sal Island, Cape Verde at the Meliá Dunas Beach Resort in October 2016.
Ah Africa! Cape Verde, this archipelago is a former portuguese territory and is located south of Canary Islands. Spent 7 days over there and was amazed with everything. In October it was still 30ºC, a bit windy (but can't complain when I think that I'm living in Ireland). Sea temperature is just perfect, its people are so friendly and the best thing is that it is still quiet, its not packed with tourists (yet!). It's just less than 4h flight from Lisbon and there is direct flights from London with travel agencies. Sunset was like this everyday, perfect. I imagine how beautiful people's views were in that airplane!!! Won't say anything else about Cape Verde for now because there is still more to come!

Shot no.2 (Huawei Mate 9 with Leica Lens)

Photo taken at Malahide Marina in Malahide, Co. Dublin (IRL), June 2017.
Malahide is a special place to me! Was the place where I first had contact with the sea, first time I wore shorts, first jump into the Irish waters. That is back to summer '13, when I was still so home sick. In Malahide it felt home again, felt that I was back to my beach feeling the sea breeze! In this little village by the seaside I discovered Malahide Castle and it's beautiful greens, the Malahide Festival every year in July and my most important finding, Giovanni's Pizzeria! They have delicious pasta, delicious pizzas and delicious steaks (personal opinion, I'm not an expert). Normally, after my meals at Giovanni's I go for a walk in the marina and one of those days I was blessed with this beautiful image!

Long story short: in the last few months I have developed a keen interest in photography! Just appreciate how amazing it is to capture a moment that will never hapen again, capture in one shot what nature and life has to show us! So, I have been taking so many photos and between 300 shots there is always 1 or 2 pictures that I feel that I should share with the world! Instagram doesn't seems to be enough anymore so I decided to create this blog.

Be aware: I'm totally amateur, still need to learn everything about photography! I'm very shy about this little project but please, don't be afraid of sharing your knowledge with me!

Currently living in Ireland, of course first pic will be about this beautiful country!
In the background we can see the irish Sugarloaf. Think this pic tells a lot about Ireland, green is the predominant colour. Blue sky is not the most frequent vision but when a little blue dot shows in the sky, we understand why the fairies and the leprechauns have chosen the Emerald Isle to live!
